Angelo Moscardelli

Obituary of Angelo Moscardelli

MOSCARDELLI, Angelo – With family by his side, Angelo Moscardelli, 89, passed away March 28th, 2024, at Afton Park Place long-term care home.

Born in Latina, Italy on April 13th, 1934. After years of breaking rocks in the quarries, Angelo left Italy in 1960 and landed in Halifax, Nova Scotia with his wife, Giovanna, and his first child, Maurizio. After coming to Canada, he moved to Sarnia, had 4 more children (Danny, Tony, Anna, and Frank). He built his own business, Angelo's Painting Company and Decorating, where he did masonry and painted many of the houses, apartments, and other buildings around Sarnia.

Angelo made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed getting together with the people in his life for fun nights full of laughs, stories, fresh food, wine, and breaking into song. Whether he was playing his accordion and singing straight from the heart or just dancing along to a tune, music was an easy way for him to have a great time. He also enjoyed taking care of his horses (including his favorite horse, Angelina), completing odd carpentry projects around his home, and taking road trips to some of his favorite spots nearby, including Tobermory, Wiarton, and Collingwood.

Angelo is survived by his 5 children; Maurizio, Danny, Tony, Anna, and Frank & his wife Brenda, his 6 grandchildren; Erin, Amy, Molly, Nick, Ashley, Alannah, and Myles, his 2 great-grandchildren Asher and Harper, many nieces and nephews in Italy, and his partner (Irene Mundy). He is also predeceased by his parents and several siblings.

Angelo's family would like to extend a special thank you to Angelo's friends that took care of him and made him feel welcome during the years he spent at Afton Park Place.

A private service will be held in honor of Angelo at McKenzie and Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 431 Christina St. N. Sarnia. Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
