STEPNOWSKI, Janina (Jean) – Suddenly at Bluewater Health on Monday, August 24, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Czeslaw. Dear mother of Alina (Paul) Welten, London. Loving Babcia to her darling granddaughter Lauren Welten. Sister of Eugeniusz (Alina) Chojnowski, Warsaw, Poland and Hennia Zebrowska, Sypniewo, Poland. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Tadeusz & Francziszka Chojnowski. Jean was a practicing pharmacist before immigrating to Canada to marry the love of her life Czeslaw. She continued her love of science by practicing as a medical laboratory technologist for 30 years in several hospitals. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and her many friends. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Friday from 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Queen of Peace Church. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Janina Stepnowski in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
