Obituary of Mary Isabelle Kirby

KIRBY (THOMPSON), Mary Isabelle – Mary died at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the age of 84. Dear sister of Charles W. (late Jean) Thompson, Perth and A. Louise (Don) Lloyd, Mississauga and families. Predeceased by parents Dr. Fred & Alice Thompson, Clinton. Mary was a registered nurse graduating from St. Joseph's Hospital, London in 1954. She worked for several years in the nursing field in London and Toronto and volunteered with the Red Cross Meals on Wheels. Mary received her credentials in Social Work from Fanshawe College and worked for Children's Aid in both Toronto and Sarnia. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 210 Michigan Av., Point Edward at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall following the service. Arrangements entrusted to McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 519-344-3131. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Point Edward, N7V 1A6 or St. Paul's Anglican Church, 210 Michigan Ave., Point Edward, N7V 1E8.
