CHAPESKIE, Martha Sylvia (nee Jacques) - Surrounded by her family at Vision Nursing Home, on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Sylvester Chapeskie (2007). Loving mother of Wayne Chapeskie, Sarnia, Victoria Wolfe, (Kitchener) and the late Diane Holyk (2000). Cherished grandmother of Michele Blais, Sudbury, Jason McGonagle, Edmonton, Lisa Goodall, Chatham, the late Michael Chapeskie (2010), Sonia Blackman, Kitchener, Barry Blackman, Kitchener and Tasha Blackman, Kitchener. Great grandmother of Dyanna Blais, Sudbury, Sarah, Samantha, Skylar & Shelby Goodall, all of Chatham and Jayden Hubert, Kitchener. Sister of Yvonne Chapeskie ( her children Brenda & Leonard), Sarnia, Virginia Foulon (Jules) Wallaceburg, Jeanne Schaffer (Jim), Wallaceburg, Andrea VanLanduyt (Marshal), Smith Falls and Vet Jacques, Wallaceburg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Jan DiCocco. Predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Joe, Marchall (Sach), Valere and Margaret. Martha liked working in her gardens but her passion was her family and her pets. She enjoyed baking, doing preserves and camping with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
