MACEACHEN, Valorie (nee MacLean) - Surrounded by family at Afton Park, Valorie MacEachen died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Donald MacEachen (2014). Loving mother of John, Florida, Alan & his wife Denise, Alberta, Bruce, Sarnia, Jane Kuzik & her husband Michael, Alberta and Lynn & her husband Jacob Rodriques, Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Jill, Mark, Jessica, Sophie, Matthew, Clara and Lilly. Dear sister of Lloyd MacLean, Pt. Edward, Malcolm MacLean & his wife Penny, Desoronto, and Ino Thompson, Sarnia. Sister-in-law of Anne MacEachen, Kingston, Neil MacEachen, N.S., Ernest MacEachen & his wife Bernice, Missisauga and Marie MacEachen, N.S. Predeceased by her parents Vera & Dr. Thomas MacLean and daughter Jessa MacEachen, and sister Margaret Roy (Sid). Valorie was a graduate of Westville High School and of the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in Nova Scotia. She was proud of her choosen career as a Registered Nurse. Valorie's passion was her family and she also loved to volunteer her time to many local organzations such as; The International Symphony, Briarwood Swim Club and the Heart & Stroke Society. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 20,2015. A Celebration of Life will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel Tuesday, April 21st at 11 a.m. officiated by Allan McKeown. Cremation to follow. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the The Parkinson Society of Canada, 4500 Blakie Rd., Unit 17, London, On N6L 1G5 or charity of choice.
