Obituary of Napoleon Joseph Lapointe

LAPOINTE, Napoleon Joseph (Nap) – At Bluewater Health on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Rita Lapointe (2010). Dear father of Leta Lapointe, the late Larry (2015) (Carol) Lapointe, and Karen Lane, Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Jim (Wendy) Lapointe and Jason Lapointe, Sarnia. Great Grampa to Benjamin, Nicholas and Cody. Special brother-in-law to Clare (Veronica) Lang. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. He will be sadly missed by dog and faithful companion Nik. Predeceased by brothers Victor, Rene, Albert and Conrad and sisters Mary, Lillie, Rhea, Lucille and Colombe. Nap served with the Canadian Armed Forces during W.W. II. He retired from Fiberglas Canada. Nap was a jack of all trades and handed much of his knowledge down to his children and grandsons. He enjoyed the 3 weeks in August when he would spend time with his family at the cottage at Wright Point Resort in Port Loring, Ontario. Visitation at QUEEN OF PEACE CHURCH on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 10-10:45 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Eugene Dziedzic immediately following at 11 a.m. at Queen of Peace Church (Rosedale at Ellwood). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, 774 London Rd., Sarnia, N7T 4Y1, the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Point Edward, N7V 1A6 or the Bluewater Health Foundation, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3 or to the charity of your choice.
