As funeral professionals, McKenzie & Blundy recognizes the need to provide continued support after the death of a loved one.
Far too many bereaved people suffer silently and alone. There is a misguided impression that joining a support group indicates that a person is weak or cannot cope properly.
In fact, the very opposite is true. Being involved in a support group might be the most courageous step towards healing that you take. Through the sharing of common struggles, the bereaved discover strengths, insights and strategies to become whole again.
McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre offers a variety of assistance through bereavement support in a group or one-on-one setting for children, adolescents and adults.
The ten week Caring and Sharing Bereavement Group program is open to all who are grieving and is facilitated by individuals trained specifically in grief support. We also offer a support group for those coping with perinatal and infant death.
We are proud of our very extensive after care program that is in place to make sure that your family and friends have continued support through their journey of grief.
